Terms of Service

1. Overview of the Service

go bites is a Canada-only platform that allows food truck vendors to:

• Create profiles
• List events
• Launch their truck location manually
• Enable online ordering
• Purchase featured placement

Users can:

• Discover food trucks
• View locations (when vendors manually launch)
• Browse menus and hours
• Submit corrections

go bites does not provide food services; all food and services are provided directly by food truck vendors.

2. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Reside in Canada
• Create an account with accurate information

3. Vendor Fees

Platform access is free for vendors. However, vendors may pay optional fees for premium services, including:

• Featured placement
• Online ordering enablement
• Event booking postings
• Event booking confirmation fee ($10 CAD per event, non-refundable)

All fees are displayed at checkout prior to payment.

Event booking fees are paid when a vendor is selected by an event host to confirm participation and unlock host contact details. This fee is non-refundable once paid.

4. Payments & Billing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant provider.

go bites does not store or process any credit card information.

Vendors authorize go bites to charge recurring subscription fees for premium features (such as featured placements) until cancelled.

5. Cancellations

Vendors may cancel any premium subscriptions (such as featured placements) at any time through their account dashboard.

Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

No prorated refunds.

6. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors are fully responsible for:

• Accuracy of their menus, prices, hours, photos
• Fulfilling orders
• Complying with all local food handling, permits, and licensing laws
• Launching their location manually (go bites does not track automatically)

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misuse or attempt to reverse-engineer the app
• Submit false or misleading information
• Harass or abuse other users
• Upload harmful content or malware
• Interfere with platform operation

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, and code is owned by go bites – Sam Wilson (Sole Proprietor).

You may not copy or reproduce any content without permission.

Vendors retain ownership of their uploaded menus, photos, and descriptions and grant go bites a license to display them.

By using the platform, vendors also grant go bites a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use their truck's name, likeness, branding, and uploaded content for marketing and promotional purposes related to the go bites platform.

9. Location Data

Vendors may optionally share real-time truck location by pressing the "Launch Location" button.

Location is:

• Collected only when manually activated
• Not tracked automatically
• Not collected in the background
• Shown publicly to users until turned off

10. Limitation of Liability

go bites is not responsible for:

• Food quality
• Food preparation
• Safety or compliance of vendors
• Order fulfilment
• Pricing accuracy

The platform is provided "as-is" with no warranties.

11. Termination

go bites may suspend or terminate access for violating these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
